minimise waste and what is the best solution for the residue.
"Closing the Circle" by Peter Jones who represents Boris Johnson on the
London Waste Recycling Board argues that we need to examine every aspect of our
lives in our quest to minimise waste.
"Garbage into Gold" is by Sarah Lewis-Hammond and examines the means by
wich the waste industry turns rubbish into money. Sarah is an
environmental journalist
"Inspect your Gadgets" by Sian Berry campaigns to get us to fix things
that go wrong rather than just dumping them
"Carrots, not Sticks" is an interview by Samira Shackle of Environment
Agency boss and ex-cabinet minister Chris Smith.
"Who Puts out the Rubbish" is a first rate report by New Statesman
journalist Ben Ferguson on progress with the government's Waste Strategy.
